Drawing an Anamorphic Illusion
Anamorphic means intentional distortion.
View this tutorial to see this distortion come to life. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnZQYXPJnXU Drawing Water drops
Drawing water drops tutorial:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLDAbUxkZj4 We drew water drops using a white colored pencil, a pencil and a blending stump. Looking at a tutorial, these water drops came to life by simple blending and highlighting. Drawing of hands
We drew 3 views of hands looking at a tutorial in class.
Breaking down into simple shapes, we drew relaxed and natural looking hands. Here is the tutorial: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB7ab61Xu3Q&t=525s Portrait Drawing using tutorials
We spent two days in class drawing and shading a portrait using proportion guidelines and online tutorials to help us achieve a realistic face. We used a blending stump but if you don't have one you can use your finger or a paper towel. View the tutorials below.
1. Draw the Proportions of the face and add neck and shoulders www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kHzAh9sCH4 2. Draw and shade the eyes www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL5jTL5NOvo 3. Draw and shade in the hair www.youtube.com/watch?v=_83dQAIi15I Turn into class for participation points Portrait Proportions Review
Proportions of the face help draw the face that looks realistic and life like.
Please review this video and draw the basic proportions of the face and hand it in class for participation points. www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kHzAh9sCH4 is it okay to copy images off the internet?
Today in class we talked about copyright laws, fair use and images off the internet. In school we download images left and right and don't think twice if it's okay. There is plagiarism of ideas and thoughts that happen more often than we would like to admit. We need to be informed, be wise and create good habits when we use images that are not our own. View this power point and answer the questions at the end of presentation and hand in class for participation points.
